Fall News 2024
The 2024 election is a critical moment for the climate and climate justice movements. From the top of the ballot down to state and local candidates and ballot measures, this election presents opportunities and dangers for our vision for a just climate future.
The outcome of the presidential race will shape the nation’s policies on emissions reductions, clean energy investments, health and equity, and environmental regulations for years to come, and we urge everyone to educate themselves and vote. Meanwhile, with escalating climate disasters disproportionately affecting low-income communities and communities of color, decisions lower on the ballot are also essential. State and local candidates and measures will affect whether we see actions like transitioning to renewable energy, protecting communities from environmental injustices and harms, and addressing corporate pollution and accountability.
