Mónica Córdova

Funders Collaborative for Youth Organizing
Executive Co-Director

Mónica Córdova is a native New Mexican who developed her leadership from a very early age through youth organizing programs that utilized social justice and empowerment approaches, including working as a youth organizer and co-director at the SouthWest Organizing Project (SWOP), a local community-based grassroots organization in Albuquerque. Mónica brought her many years of experience in youth and multigenerational organizing, building networks, and community engagement to the national level at the Funders Collaborative on Youth Organizing (FCYO), where she is now Executive Co-Director. Mónica supports and directs FCYO’s role in resourcing and uplifting work led by youth of color at the intersection of racial and educational justice, healthy equity, and building power. In addition to advising the Climate Equity Policy Center, Mónica stays connected to local efforts in New Mexico as the President of the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center Board of Directors.
